Peter Vallance was born in Scotland and is based at the Findhorn Foundation community where, for the last fifteen years, he has taught, performed and organised artistic events.
As a storyteller Peter tells traditional stories from many cultures. His humorous and lively approach engages children and adults. As a member of the Scottish Storytelling Centre his work qualifies for subsidy from the Scottish Book Trust.
As a dancer Peter teaches simple folk dances to children and runs workshops in Sacred Circle Dance and Ecstatic Dance for adults.
Peter leads annual journeys that explore the ancient landscape of Scotland and Ireland through story, dance and song.
He travels internationally with his work and has recently taught and performed in Brazil, Germany, and the United States of America. He presents regularly at Conferences and organises the annual Sacred Dance Festival and other Conferences at the Findhorn Foundation
He has produced a CD of his favourite traditional stories “Stories by Peter” and, in collaboration with the harper and singer Diana Elaina, a CD “Brigid - Celtic Goddess and Christian Saint”. He has also done the voice over for the DVD about the Findhorn Foundation and Community.
